Chapter Philanthropy

"To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand," is the first line in Phi Mu's creed.  We are honored to have Children's Miracle Network Hospitals as our National Philanthropy.  Since 1986, Phi Mu has raised over 8.5 million dollars for CMNH.  Locally, the Kappa Omega Chapter lends help to others through our fundraisers, such as:  Hoop-a-Paluza, "Milk and Cookies", "Cheers for Children","Movies for Miracles", balloon sales, and many other events.  Phi Mu sisters also visit our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, USA Children's and Women's Hospital.  We bring the children different types of "goodies" including:  books, toys, Valentine cards, Easter baskets, and Halloween games.

We also have been hosting Hoop-a-Paluza on campus since 2009!  Hoop-a-Paluza is a three-on-three basketball tournament in which campus organizations compete while raising money for CMNH!  It is always a ton of fun, and very successful!!

Hello!
The past year of fundraising for Kappa Omega has been fun and extremely rewarding, raising over $5,000! We hosted multiple events this past spring including our very first dress sale, along with Cheers for Children, Milk and Cookies, and more. The chapter of Kappa Omega has our very own Children’s Miracle Network Hospital right here in Mobile, run by our very own university, because of this all the money we raise goes directly to the universities Children’s and Women’s Hospital. We tour the hospital at least once a year with our new members and for various other events. We also volunteer for all events sponsored by the hospital including Trick-Or-Trot, Bell Ringing, St. Baldricks Foundation, various holiday events and much more. Interacting with the children at the hospital is very rewarding and inspiring! For everyone going through recruitment, Phi Mu is so excited to meet you and to show you our Philanthropy! Good Luck!
LIOB,
Hannah Kraljevic
